A deep dive into self, and I found the legacy

A visage of wisdom, a recognisable face, a possibly known, yet unknown, caretaker. The resolute, yet kind presence of the subject is encapsulated and then conveyed through both the rough strokes of charcoal and the juxtaposed tranquility of the ink. A dialogue between the patriarchal and the matriarchal archetypes.

Charcoal and ink on professional watercolour paper. 29.7cm x 21cm.
